The Deep Creek area is home to not one, but two beautiful Smoky Mountain waterfalls. A short 0.7-mile walk on Deep Creek Trail leads to the junction with Indian Creek Trail. Visitors can use their walk along the Indian Creek Trail to view the 60-foot-high Toms Branch Falls, located on the far side of Deep Creek.
By taking a right turn at the junction with Indian Creek Trail, visitors can proceed approximately 200 feet to the 25-foot-high Indian Creek Falls. The round trip distance to both waterfalls is 1.6 miles, and the hike is generally considered easy. It takes between one and two hours to hike to the waterfalls and back.
To reach the trailhead, follow the signs to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park through downtown Bryson City to the Deep Creek Campground. Continue past the campground to the trailhead at the end of Deep Creek Road.
